Taunusquelle is partnering with internationally renowned wine expert Markus Del Monego as its exclusive brand ambassador. The mineral waters is the ideal complement for restaurants and hotel trade when enjoying fine food and beverages.

After training as a hotel specialist at the Dorint Kurhotel in Bad Brückenau, he was head sommelier from 1988 to 1990 and then assistant manager at Parkhotel Bremen. He was the first German to become World Champion Sommelier in 1998 in Vienna followed by winning the coveted title of „Master of Wine“ in 2003.

Today, Markus Del Monego is the owner and managing director of tasteTainment GmbH based in Essen, Germany, and is a sworn wine valuation expert (Essen Chamber of sector & Industry), Ambassadeur de l’Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne, Ambasciatore dell’Accademia del Barolo, Master of Sake, Sake Samurai, and much more. He is also the author of several books, high-quality wine columns in newspapers and magazines (Süddeutsche Zeitung, Der Feinschmecker, Top MagazinRuhr, www.tastingbook.com, etc.) and guest articles in various media, e.g. Decanter.

An exclusive event concept entitled „Del Monego & Friends“ has been developed with a view to positioning Taunusquelle even more prominently as a major enjoyment partner to the upscale hospitality sector. The aim is to bring the Taunusquelle brand to life with top-class culinary „Wine & Dine“ evenings. Markus Del Monego will enrich the evenings with culinary expertise and inspiring talks in which he explains how Taunusquelle invigorates the senses and how the CO2 content can enhance the flavours of wine and food.
